It will be the second instalment after last year’s successful inaugural event.
Cowboys and cowgirls will provide heart-stopping action at the Kendall Showground as they take on some of the country’s best bucking bulls and broncs. More than 2000 spectators poured through the showground gates for last year’s rodeo, with all money raised to fund improvements to the showground facilities.
Event organiser Jodi Laurie said this time round they hoped to attract even more brave competitors than last year, anticipating arrivals from all over the state.
They will take centre stage to compete in the open bull ride, novice bull ride, saddlebronc, bareback, ladies barrel race, 8-11 years barrel race, 11-14 years barrel race, 14-18 years barrel race, 8-11 years calf ride, 11-14 years calf ride, 14-18 years calf ride. Bucking bull of the year Bad Attitude will throw his might around the arena in Kendall, along with bucking bull of the year nominee Sports Machine.
Gates open at 10am for a midday start. Bring a picnic blanket or chair, the kids, your family, friends and neighbours and sunscreen. There will be a roped off area for sun shades.
Food and drinks available all day, bar operating, no alcohol or eskies allowed. There will be pony rides and live music after the rodeo by Matt Zarb.
Admission: Adults $15, Kids u/16 and Age Pensioners $5, Family Ticket - 2 Adults and 2 children u/16 $30.
