5pm:
AND the two open competition winners are...
Wollongong Devils in the open men's championship. The Devils beat Hornsby Lions 5-3 as the skies threatened.
Easts Roosters beat Wollongong 5-4 in the open women's championship.
1.50pm:
THE women's 30s final is just about to get underway. It's Port Macquarie v Easts Roosters, and it's on field 6.
12.50pm:
THE Port Macquarie open men's team has bowed out of the tournament, losing 7-3 to the Wollongong Devils 2 in the plate semi-final.
Peter Gleeson said the team was "a bit unlucky".
"We started to play a bit better as a team as the weekend went on," he said. "But they were a hot team."
Noon:
THE Port Macquarie women's 30s team has snuck through to the final, with a 5-4 win over the Wallsend Wolves.
11.45am:
PORT Macquarie's men's 50s team has gone down in its championship semi-final, 7-1 to the Manly Sea Eagles.
10am:
A BYE for Port Macquarie in the State Cup men’s opens division means it will finish in the top two this morning, while the men’s 50s team is on top of the ladder, and the women’s 30s is also going strong.
The semi-finals will get underway shortly. The men’s 50s team will play at 10.20am on field 16, while its open counterpart plays at 11.30am on field 2. The women’s 30s team will be in action at 10.55am on field 3.
Meanwhile, Wests Tigers superstar Benji Marshall wowed the crowd with two appearances yesterday.
