"Nominations have reached the top end of the manageable numbers, just under 180, and all is looking well for yet another successful event for the town," Port Macquarie Touch Association president Chris Veech said.
"Not only is it an exciting week for
representative players but the regular competition also kicks off the very
popular Hog's Breath Café Mixed Challenge, kindly sponsored by Peter and Leonie Scaysbrook.
"Individual nominations are accepted and then drawn out of a hat, ensuring
an even mix of players throughout the teams.
"This time around there are 12 teams of 10 players and the games will be played in the six-a-side format, for 30 minutes turnaround – in other words, no half time break.
"Teams are identified as colours, players naturally to wear that colour.
"Players are urged to fulfil their commitment by turning up and playing as the only setback for this event, since it's inception, is the fact that some players let the sides down by not turning up and
leaving their fellow team mates in the lurch."
The first of two games tomorrow night will start at 6pm sharp.
The teams are as follows:
White - Wayne Gleeson, Katie Kelly, Jo Horton, Corina Latimore, Emma Coleman, Travis Foster, Ben Alexander, Craig Wilkinson, Lance Kedward, Anthony Murphy.

All players are reminded there is no touch this Thursday, due to the State Cup activities.
Next Tuesday is again the Hogs Breath Café Mixed Challenge and normal round games will be played on that Thursday.
The draw for that round will be published in Wednesday's Port News.
Draws will be available this week and be distributed through team captains or organisers.
"To our nine representative teams this weekend, best of luck - play to your ability and take no prisoners," Veech said.
"A special mention to the over 45 men's team who have been runners up for
four consecutive years, play as a team,
be patient and believe in your side's
ability.
"Remember the old adage, a team of good team players, always beats a team of good individual players.
"To the over 40 women's team who are defending the crown they won last year, make it two in a row girls just to prove a point."
