Another delay at the supplier’s end has held up the sensors’ delivery.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council expects to take delivery in mid-April.
The council will turn to the electronic devices, at first for a 12-week trial, to relieve parking congestion in the CBD.
The sensors will be installed beneath 50 parking spots in Horton St,
between Clarence and William streets, and in Hay St between William St and Port Central Shopping Centre.
The electronic devices monitor how long the vehicles are parked in the bays and alert rangers when they over-stay time limits.
