The government receiver PPB Corporate Recovery had set Wednesday, February 25 as the date by which interested parties had to register their intention of acquiring any or all of the centres in the ABC2 Group (the official collective name for the 241 centres up for sale).
A spokesman for PPB said the receiver was not making public any information on individual centres.
“The reason for this is it could jeopardise the process, which is at a sensitive stage,” he said.
“There’ll be a comment when there’s something concrete to report.
“Any disclosure now could lead to interested parties withdrawing their bids, particularly if there is more than one bidder with an interest in the same centre or centres.”
The processing of expressions of interest is expected to continue through until the end of March.
