The addition of Spotlight to the Port Macquarie industrial area will complement the already large retail sector of the estate.
Spotlight area manager Gary Flippence said all energy was focused on opening the store on October 29, with staff to start training from October 6.
Nine fully trained staff will head up the Spotlight store, located on Lake Road.
In all more than 30 positions, casual, part-time and full-time, will be available.
Interviews are scheduled to begin in mid- September.
The 2600 square metre shop will be housed in a complex along with a handful of other stores.
The Port Macquarie Spotlight store is being purpose-built to the company's own specifications and will incorporate furnishing fabrics, dress fabrics, craft and manchester and homeware sections.
There will also be creative studios to cater for craft classes open to customers.
Spotlight is a fully Australian-owned company in its 30th year of business with stores throughout Australia and New Zealand and in Singapore.
Bunnings will also open its doors in the industrial estate later this year, on a massive site located at the corner of Lake and Fernhill roads.
The $12 million development is on track with construction all coming together very quickly.
The goal is to have the store open sometime in September. Once the new store is in operation the current Bunnings store, at the corner of Blackbutt and Belah roads, will close.
