An uncontained bushfire in Tasmania's north is set to keep emergency services busy until next week after burning through more than 1500 hectares in four days.

Firefighters had a reprieve on Sunday when forecast hot and windy conditions didn't eventuate, prompting a "watch and act" alert for Pipers Brook, Lebrina, Wyena, Golconda and Ferny Hill Road to be downgraded.
The Tasmania Fire Service expects to be active over the coming days with the blaze still not under control despite being fought by land and air near Lebrina.
"We got very lucky today with the weather. We were expecting some very challenging conditions which didn't eventuate," a TFS spokesperson told AAP.
"We have been able to keep the spread to about the 100-hectare mark.
"We have been able to contain it the last couple of days but it is not under control yet. We expect to be active until next week, whether that is maintaining it or mopping up."
The fire was first reported on Thursday after a burn-off on private property got out of hand and has since torched about 1630 hectares.
"To date a number of forestry plantations have been impacted, and we have had the loss of one outbuilding (barn)," a TFS statement said.
Crews were able to make good progress on Sunday with a backburn completed on the northern edge and heavy machinery used to strengthen containment lines.
State Emergency Service crews will assist the TFS from Monday in the Pipers Brook area.
The TFS will set up a community drop-in centre at the Lebrina Fire Station from 12pm on Monday that will provide updates for concerned locals.
