Oysters in the Vines at Cassegrain Wines features oysters and Cassegrain wines, local beer, live music, a range of food options, children's activities and market stalls.
Cassegrain Wines national business development manager Philippe Cassegrain said Cassegrain Wines started the event 16 years ago to celebrate what they thought was the world's best oyster.
He said it was also a good opportunity for tourists to experience the world's best oyster.
Sydney rock oysters are considered a gourmet delight.
The 2022 Oysters in the Vines runs over two days with the event going ahead under the protection of the warehouse awning due to the weather, and a large marquee set up for people to enjoy the musical entertainment.
"We are fully equipped to handle a lot of people in a COVID-safe manner," Mr Cassegrain said.
Tony Kennelly and The Coppertones provided the musical entertainment on Friday with Hudson Rose and Ruby Blunt to follow on Saturday (January 8).
Oyster lovers are sampling oysters supplied by Tunstead Oysters during the festival.
David Tunstead from Tunstead Oysters said each different river had its own unique taste when it came to Sydney rock oysters.
Mr Tunstead described Oysters in the Vines as an event he looked forward to.
"It is a celebration of world-class wine and world-class oysters at your doorstep," he said.
Oysters in the Vines continues at Cassegrain Wines from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, January 8.
