After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the event ran smoothly and helped provide a much-needed boost to the region.
"Everyone was excited to be there on the day and it all went very smoothly," event director Mick Maher said.
"We had fantastic weather and all of the competitors across the four events had smiles on their faces, even during the 2.2 kilometre uphill stretch."
"Around 70 per cent of competitors were women this year which was great to see them dominating each of the events. There was also a new record in the Percival Property Marathon by Rhys Lawler with a time of 03:33:27."
This year the event was held in support of the Cancer Council and raised much-needed funds for the organisation to provide an important service for those in need.
"We raised around $30,000 for the organisation and we will hopefully see the economic boost the event had in the coming weeks for our area. There were a number of competitors from outside our region and we hope that this will bring a boost for businesses."
Beach to Brother is one of the first large-scale events to be held in the Port Macquarie-Hastings since COVID restrictions were eased.
"Everyone was following the rules in place on the day by using sanitiser and wearing masks once they had crossed the finish line," Mr Maher said.
"We've also received around 250 messages from competitors about how the day was a success and how much they enjoyed being at an event like this again. It was amazing to get that feedback and to be able to deliver an event of this size for the community."
