The achievement comes as New South Wales eases further restrictions and regional travel opens up statewide.
The MNCLHD continues to urge the community to get vaccinated and to keep coming forward for testing should they experience any symptoms, with 14 new COVID-19 cases reported to 8pm yesterday (9 November).
Eight cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area (LGA), three are from Kempsey LGA and three are from Nambucca Valley LGA.
Twelve of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster and two are household contacts of a confirmed case. All cases are isolating.
There are currently 83 active COVID cases in Port Macquarie, 59 cases in Kempsey, 22 cases at Nambucca and 17 in Coffs Harbour.
Mid North Coast Local Health District chief executive Stewart Dowrick said over 50 per cent of active COVID-19 cases in the region are people aged under the age of 16.
"I think the best thing we can do to protect and support our young people is to ensure we follow all the important public health orders which still exist, including washing hands, social distancing and wearing a mask where required," he said.
Port Macquarie is leading the Mid North Coast vaccination race with 90 per cent of the community now fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
There have been 417 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.
COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 782 tests conducted yesterday including 360 at Port Macquarie, 243 at Coffs Harbour and 145 at Kempsey.

Get vaccinated
NSW Health state-run clinics are now offering a booster dose, using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, to individuals aged 18 and over.
This booster shot will help people maintain a high level of protection against the COVID-19 virus, including the Delta variant.
People aged 18 years and older may receive a booster at least six months after receiving their second dose of any of the COVID-19 vaccines registered for use in Australia.
