The Hastings Summer Waves markets run every Wednesday until the end of January from 5pm to 9pm, weather permitting, at Town Beach featuring handmade creations and food stalls and vans. Musical acts will provide the entertainment.
Non-profit groups will also be in the spotlight with community groups encouraged to take part to raise awareness about their organisations.
Marine Rescue Port Macquarie event manager Christi Dunkerton said they hoped the markets would become a tourist attraction and secure its place on the tourist map.
The first market night on November 3 was declared a success.
Organisers called off the November 10 market due to predicted rain. They remain confident the event will flourish and grow into the future.
"We are hoping to have market stalls all the way along the Town Beach grassed area," Ms Dunkerton said.
"Come down and support the local artists and food vans but also spread the word about community groups.
"We want to make it a real community atmosphere."
The Wednesday night markets, complete with a COVID-safe plan, are a Marine Rescue Port Macquarie fundraiser.
The event will build up to a 9am to 9pm market on January 26.
