The week long ambrose golfing tournament is hosted by the Kew Men's Veterans Club from November 2-5.
Players have travelled from across the state including four entries from Queensland and Victoria.
Captain Col Voss said the annual tournament is the highlight for many over 55s players who come to town especially for it.
"There are about 30 or 40 clubs represented and we have the maximum of 170 players on the course," Mr Voss said.
"All grades are represented with men and women, there are some really good golfers and people here to just have a good time.
"We turn it on for them with cooked food, an opening ceremony, champagne on the way in and morning tea to take out onto the course. It's about as many people as you can run on a course."
Mr Voss said there are cash prizes on offer for the best scores across the 18 hole individual course.
"It's a lot of fun and a good way to see NSW. People can attend one of these nearly every week in various towns," he said.
An awards ceremony will be held with Mayor Peta Pinson at the Laurieton United Services Club on Thursday, November 4.
The 2020 women's event was won by a golfer from Queensland and a Port Macquarie entry in the men's division.
