The prize is scheduled to be held from January 4 to 14 next year and is offering prizes such as $2000 for best work in exhibition and $1000 for first prizes in the four main sections of oil and acrylic, watercolour, pastel and drawing.
There is also $600 for the small painting section and a $300 prize for people's choice. The event is sponsored by local businesses and the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
The event is open to artists on the Mid North Coast from Port Stephens to Coffs Harbour. It will be held at the Francis Retreat in Bonny Hills.
Bonny Hills Progress Association president Roger Barlow said the group is gratified by the generosity of local businesses in sponsoring the six categories for entries.
"This is what makes the art prize possible, we couldn't attract quality paintings without the artists having the chance of a good reward," Mr Barlow said.
Entry forms are now available by contacting Rita Carosi on 0418 284 583 or ritacarosi8@gmail.com or John Drinan 0418976283. Entries close on December 6.
