They're significant achievements and Phil Dotti has ticked both off the bucket list.
The former Kempsey raised Smithtown Tiger, now residing in Sydney, was placed on the iconic landmark along with a host of other vaccinated people.
The sails were lit up to acknowledge New South Wales front line workers to mark the State reaching 80% double vaccination.
"I got my second vaccination about three weeks ago, my daughter works for health and staff asked her if they could get a photo of me as a promotion," Mr Dotti recounted.
"A week and a half later I had a few people ringing me asking if they can use it then they get back to me telling me it's going to be on the opera house sails.
His reaction was one of shock.
"I said what?," he exclaimed.
"I didn't think it'd go that big."
Dotti says the campaign is a brilliant way to encourage the public to get vaccinated.
"It's a wonderful message, I'm all about supporting Aboriginal health, goodwill and progressing people's lives," he said.
Minister for Digital and Customer Service Victor Dominello said the spectacle was a reminder of the freedoms that come with vaccination.
"Those who are fully vaccinated can now visit a hairdresser, watch their favourite sports, head out to dinner and catch live shows provided they follow health guidelines," Mr Dominello said.
