Camden Haven, Beechwood, Macquarie Hotel, Port Pirates, Port City Leagues Magpies and Wauchope RSL will all vie for the May Kelly Cup (first grade) title.
Five teams will compete in the Brett Border Cup (second grade) while there will be six in the George Spencer Cup (third and fourth grade) competitions.
President Craig Lobegeier said the 40-over season would then start on December 4.
"The primary aim was to get cricket started ASAP because some clubs may not be able to field a side (before December) and we didn't want them to be disadvantaged in the pointscore," he said.
"We're trying our best to get cricket back on the park and are desperate to get as many people involved as we can."
A president's versus vice-president's fixture will take place at Oxley Oval under lights on November 3 with the first ball at 5.30pm.
Michael Pelley will captain the president's team while Tony Brown will captain the vice-president's team.
