The MNCLHD is encouraging the community to remain vigilant as NSW reaches the 70 per cent double vaccinated target and prepares for the first stages of NSW reopening on Monday, October 11.

"Please remember to get tested even if you have the mildest of symptoms, wash your hands regularly, check-in to venues via the Service NSW QR code and get vaccinated," MNCLHD chief executive Stewart Dowrick said.

"These measures will help protect you, your loved ones and the community."

COVID-19 vaccinations are available at GPs, pharmacies, Commonwealth vaccination centres and NSW Health vaccination clinics.

The stay-at-home orders for the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA have been lifted.

NSW Health will continue to closely monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19 and will not hesitate to update its advice to protect the health and wellbeing of the people of NSW.

The MNCLHD has been notified of three venues of concern associated with a COVID-19 case from the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, announced on Monday (October 4).

All close contacts have been contacted and informed as part of normal contact tracing processes. They must get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.

Anyone else who has been at the venues at the date and time listed is considered a casual contact. They must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received:

If you are directed to get tested for COVID-19 or self-isolate at any time, you must follow the rules given to you by Health staff, whether or not the venue or exposure setting is listed on the NSW Health website.

Residents are encouraged to continue to come forward for testing at the first sign of even mild symptoms.

There are a number of venues of concern across the MNCLHD. NSW Health regularly updates the list on their website.

NSW recorded 587 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

NSW Health is also reporting the deaths of eight people who had COVID-19 - five men and three women.

One person was in their 20s, one person in their 50s, two people were in their 60s, two people were in their 70s, and two people were in their 80s.

Five people were not vaccinated, one person had received one dose, and two people with underlying health conditions had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

There have been 403 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since 16 June 2021 and 459 in total since the start of the pandemic.

There have been 60,596 locally acquired cases reported since 16 June 2021, when the first case in this outbreak was reported.

To determine the extent of the risk and detect any further potential COVID-19 cases, NSW Health is calling on the community to come forward for testing in large numbers.

"We continue to urge anyone feeling unwell - even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose, scratchy or sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath, headache, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, nausea, diarrhoea or muscle aches - to self-isolate and seek COVID-19 testing," Mr Dowrick said.
