Don't Be Complacent
I know everyone in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area is excited that we are out of lockdown but let's be clear - this is conditional on no COVID cases in the future.
So this is not a time to be complacent.
Everyone must remain vigilant and follow the restrictions and the health advice to stop the spread.
Please continue to socially distance, practice good hygiene and get vaccinated.
If you have any flu like symptoms get tested.
There are COVID-19 testing clinics located across the Mid North Coast LHD at Lake Cathie, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Bellingen, Coffs Harbour, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, South West Rocks, Wauchope and Woolgoolga.
A full list of clinic locations and opening hours are listed on the NSW government website at: nsw.gov.au/covid-19/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others/clinics.
Petitions allow members of the public to directly place their issues before the Parliament.
A petition helps raise awareness of an issue in the community and lets Members of Parliament know what action the community wants the Parliament to take, but it doesn't compel the Parliament to take action.
There are a number of ways to petition the Parliament, either using the standard way of a paper petition, or the increasingly popular ePetition.
To sign an ePetition, you need to confirm you are a resident of New South Wales and enter your title, first name and last name.
Once you click submit you will have signed the ePetition and will be re-directed to the Legislative Assembly's ePetitions open for signature page.
A current local ePetition is calling to restore water fluoridation to the Port Macquarie Hastings local government area.
The team of doctors at the Westside Medical Centre are bringing this petition to the attention of the NSW Parliament.
