Mid North Coast Local Health District said investigations are ongoing. There were no COVID-19 cases reported for the Mid North Coast in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday (August 21).
There are now four venues of concern on the Mid North Coast.
On Sunday, NSW Health added an exposure site at the Nambucca Heads interchange service centre after a truck driver travelling from Sydney to Queensland had tested positive.
Situation across NSW
Overnight, NSW recorded a further 830 cases and three more deaths. There are 557 people in hospital and 94 of those are in intensive care (ICU). Of those in ICU, 83 are not vaccinated.
Health Minister Brad Hazzard thanked NSW residents for coming forward to get vaccinated.
"I am pleased, very pleased, that the vaccination rate in NSW is quite extraordinary," he said. "Even though we might be the best in the world at the moment, NSW can do better."
In NSW, 58 per cent of residents have had their first dose of a vaccine, and 31 per cent have had two doses.
In last seven days, more than 750,000 vaccines have been administered.
Across regional NSW, areas of concern include Bateau Bay, Lithgow, Parkes and Orange with high viral loads detected in sewage.
In western NSW, there were 36 new cases. The majority of those were in Dubbo and the surrounding areas of Bathurst, Wellington, Bourke, Narromine, Gulargambone and Orange.
Orange recorded six cases while in the far west at Wilcannia there were two more cases and one at Broken Hill.
There were seven cases in Newcastle.
Police tackled a woman at a Newcastle protest on Saturday, one of many across the state "disrupted" by a 1500-strong police operation.
Regional NSW remains in lockdown under stay-at-home orders until August 28 where it will be reviewed. Masks are mandatory in all outdoors settings, and indoor settings other than in your own home.
Cases on the Mid North Coast
A 14-year-old South Kempsey girl tested positive on August 17. The second positive case is a close contact.
NSW Health added an exposure site at the Nambucca Heads interchange service centre after a truck driver travelling from Sydney to Queensland had tested positive.
There are four exposure sites on the Mid North Coast.
Anyone who was at Bunnings or the Little Shack cafe in Port Macquarie on August 14; Coles in Belgrave Street Kempsey on August 17; or the BP Nambucca Heads at Valla on August 19 at the times specified are casual contacts and must get tested (full details below).

Mid North Coast Local Health District said sewage surveillance is ongoing across the region with virus fragments detected at the Port Macquarie wastewater treatment plant this week.
The treatment plant in Port Macquarie services about 59,000 residents.
This is flagged a concern for NSW Health and they are urging anyone with even the mildest of symptoms in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region to get tested.
Ongoing surveillance across all Mid North Coast wastewater treatment sites continues.
Earlier this month virus fragments were detected in wastewater at Bonny Hills and Coffs Harbour.
Public health investigations across the Mid North Coast are ongoing and further advice will be provided on new cases as they are confirmed and other businesses/locations if they are considered exposure sites of concern.
Exposure sites - are you a casual contact?
Anyone who attended Bunnings or Little Shack in Port Macquarie; Coles in Belgrave Street, Kempsey or the BP Nambucca Heads at the dates and times listed is a casual contact who must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
- Little Shack Cafe, 1 Munster Street (on the Town Green), Port Macquarie - Saturday 14 August, 2pm to 3.30pm
- Bunnings Warehouse, 18 John Oxley Drive, Port Macquarie - Saturday 14 August, 3.45pm to 4.05pm
- Coles, Belgrave Street, Kempsey - Tuesday 17 August, 11.45am and 12.10pm.
- BP Nambucca Heads, 2 Corkwood Road, Valla - Thursday 19 August, 2pm to 2.15pm
All close contacts have been contacted and informed as part of normal contract tracing processes.
They must get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.
Anyone else who has been at the venues at the date and times listed is considered a casual contact, must get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Get tested
Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) has advised that the drive through COVID-19 testing clinic at Port Macquarie Regional Stadium on Boundary Street is now open extended hours from 8am to 6pm daily.
There is also a drive through testing site at Kempsey's Riverside Park reserve at the Austral Street boat ramp open to 8am-6pm weekdays and 8am-4pm on weekends.
MNCLHD urges anyone feeling unwell with even with the mildest of symptoms to come forward for testing.

The Mid North Coast Local Health District is vaccinating its staff and eligible members of the community when appointments become available.
The local health district has moved its COVID-19 vaccination clinic from Port Macquarie Base Hospital to 35 Grant Street.
