The Breakers, defending champions pulled a 58-6 victory over the Magpies in the 2021 AFL North Coast women's competition on Saturday, July 31.
Port Macquarie captain Astyn Kirby said the team was overpowered by a more experienced Coffs side on the day.
"Coffs are an incredible team, they work the ball perfectly and to keep them to less than 100 points was a tight defence from our girls," Miss Kirby said.
"This year has been interesting with about 15 of our 23 girls that have not played AFL before. Considering we are a pretty new team we have definitely put up a bit of a fight.
"At the moment we are working on skills like kicking, hand-balling and marks because we are so new. It's a big learning curve.
"The effort from our team today was incredible and we're excited for more games to come."
