Taree Show Society announced the cancellation on Tuesday, July 27.
"This was not an easy decision to make,'' show society president Jane Davis said.
She explained it was made due to the growing concern for the health and safety of volunteers and the community due to the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions.
"This is having a devastating and unprecedented impact on NSW,'' Jane added.
Jane said the decision was made after 'much deliberation' and added the society looks forward to providing a 'bigger and better show in 2022.'
The society had earlier announced this year's show would only be conducted over one day.
Last year's Taree Show was also cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
At this stage the Camden Haven Show has been reduced to a one day only event and is scheduled to go ahead on October 16, while the Kempsey Show will be held over two days on September 28 and 29.
