S.Africa looting abates before troop surge

Authorities say 5000 soldiers are already on KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng streets since Wednesday.

A week of violence, arson and looting that has engulfed South Africa has slowly begun to ebb, with several districts rocked by the mayhem quiet before an expected surge in soldiers on the streets.
