Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead has assured the Great Lakes community that a Forster woman who returned home from overseas and has tested positive for COVID-19 does not pose a risk to the community.

According to Mr Bromhead, the 33-year-old woman, her husband and two children, who also have since tested positive, remain in hotel quarantine in Sydney
These three confirmed cases pose no risk to the Myall Lakes community, Mr Bromhead said.
Please be assured that there are no active COVID-19 cases in the local community, in quarantine or otherwise, he said.
There are no cases of COVID on the Mid North Coast.
These three cases will not be leaving Sydney until they have recovered.
"We thank everyone for doing the right thing and encourage you to get tested if you have any symptoms, no matter how mild."

Member for Lyne, David Gillespie reiterated the Prime Minister's stance that Australia was in no hurry to open its borders to international travel.
However, there will always be cases as we return Australians home from overseas, Dr Gillespie said.
"International borders will only open when it is safe to do so," he said.
"We still have a long way to go, and there are still many uncertainties ahead."
To be eligible, travel exemptions must be granted for one of the following reasons:
- your travel is as part of the response to the COVID-19 outbreak, including the provision of aid;
- your travel is for your business or employer;
- you are travelling to receive urgent medical treatment that is not available in Australia;
- you are travelling on compassionate or compelling grounds;
- you are travelling for urgent or unavoidable personal business, and
- your travel is in the national interest.
"State government health directives are currently in place limiting the spaces available for those returning from overseas, the Federal Government is working with the Northern Territory Government on the Howard Springs Quarantine facility and repatriation flights to assist Australians to return home.
"Howard Springs is currently accommodating 2000 Australians returning home a fortnight."
