Business owners are encouraging locals to 'holiday at home' and enjoy what the local region has to offer with their Dine and Discover vouchers.
Port Macquarie-Hastings is one of the state's most popular spots for redemption.
Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams said earlier this month, the program has been a game changer for the local community, with the town placing third for Dine redemptions and fourth for Discover redemptions outside of Sydney.
"Since March, more than 47,000 customers have registered in Port Macquarie, with the average total customer spend for the region more than $38, well exceeding the voucher amount," Mrs Williams said.
"Almost 53,000 Dine vouchers and nearly 37,000 Discover vouchers have been redeemed at more than 155 businesses in the region.
"The program provides local businesses with much needed stimulus, and delivers hip pocket relief to households."
Minister for Digital and Minister for Customer Service, Victor Dominello said that it was exciting to see residents and road-trippers had spent almost $3.5 million at local businesses since the program started.
"We know what a powerful impact these vouchers are having across the State as we support businesses to continue to keep their lights on and doors open," Mr Dominello said.
"We want to ensure customers have more time to spend their vouchers, which is why we have extended the deadline to 31 August.
"Don't miss out - spend your four $25 vouchers and support local businesses."
CEO of Majestic Cinemas Kieren Dell says this program is a win-win for everyone, with businesses having benefited from locals getting a fun night out for less.
"It has been wonderful to watch all the Discover vouchers being redeemed at the box office particularly with the older generation," Mr Dell said.
"With school holidays coming up and some big blockbusters being released we hope to see even more customers in the coming weeks."
Businesses can still register and customers are encouraged to sign up and spend vouchers before they expire on the new extended date.
