Year 5 students Mia Manolas and Zulu Britos-Nunnari raised $111 for the community organisation by holding a cake stall at their school.
"We're passionate about horses and wanted to raise money for a horse group in the community," Mia said.
"We also wanted to raise money for a good cause," Zulu added.
The money will go towards the upkeep of the 15 horses used in the RDA program.
"It's unreal to have two young girls do this for us, it's quite special," president of RDA Wauchope Port Macquarie John Smith said.
"It costs us about $1500 a year for the upkeep of each horse. That's everything from feed and maintenance to vaccinations and health costs. This money will help us look after the horses."
RDA hold raffles throughout the year to raise money for the riding equipment they use, however John said the costs of upkeep can add up.
"It can get quite expensive and this money will be a big help for us," he said.
RDA Wauchope Port Macquarie currently have over 20 riders involved in the program and have around 15 people on the waiting list.
"We're still being impacted by Covid restrictions and are only able to have six horses in the ring at a time, so the amount of riders we can have in a class has been limited," John said.
"We're hoping to start another class soon because we have so many people wanting to be involved."
