They overturned a deficit in the first three quarters to storm home 21-17 and inflict Wauchope Wrens' first defeat of the season.
HVNA publicity officer Linda Dewbery said it was a pleasing result for Port Combined after they suffered a close 13-11 defeat in the previous encounter a month ago.
"They lost in the first round and they were down for the first three quarters before they came home strong," Dewbery said.
The Flower Power have only lost one match all season - to Wauchope - so both teams are likely to again meet later in the season.
The competition will pause for the June long weekend before resuming on June 19.
