St Paul's emerged 1-0 victors over MacKillop College in a match where defence dominated and clear-cut chances were hard to come by.
In the end, it was a counter-attack that found its way through the MacKillop defence and into the midfielder's path before she unleashed a shot that lobbed over the goalkeeper.
St Paul's coach Emma Tamblyn said it was a good, hard-fought game which ended with both teams having to drop a player off after every five minutes in the extra time period.
"The drop-off is interesting, but the girls persevered and did what they had to do," she said.
"We had a few chances during the game that we missed, so to be able to finish it off and take the win ... we're pretty excited.
"Chelsea is a dominant player who does what she needs to do so I'm glad she was the one that got that goal."
The Kempsey school have previously struggled in the tournament and had to go the long way around to even qualify for their spot this year.
"We played a preliminary round to even get into the competition so this is our fourth game," Tamblyn said.
MacKillop coach Lisa Egan was disappointed in the result and admitted her girls simply ran out of legs.
"They were in the right spot at the right time with tired players," she said.
"They played well, I'm proud of them. Some are year seven who have never played before so it's a great experience for them."
Defender Lara Woolfe was strong while Isabella Campbell and Zara Boskovski posed questions of the St Paul's defence.
"They all had their moments and helped each other out and that's what it's about," Egan said.
"They all shone in different times throughout the game."
