Local artist Judy Jelsma said the exhibition will allow her art students to showcase their pieces to the community.
"There will be 14 artists involved in the exhibition and all the artwork will be self expressionist work," she said.
"We haven't been able to hold an exhibition for over a year because of Covid, so this will be a great chance for my art students to showcase their work and give the community the chance to see what we do."
Judy has been teaching art at Hamilton House on Hastings River Drive for over 15 years.
"Sometimes it can take artists a long time to find their own style and by having the theme of self expressionists for this exhibition, it allows the students to find their own artwork style," she said.
There will be over 50 artworks in the exhibition that will be held at the Sunset Gallery at 2/25 Central Road, Port Macquarie.
"The exhibition will run from June 5 to June 26 and I encourage the community to attend the exhibition to view local artists' work," Judy said.
There will also be a meet the artists on June 5 at 10am at the Sunset Gallery.
"We usually try and hold exhibitions each year and it will be great to hold on again for the community."
