Port Macquarie is leading the charge for the return of live music events with the all-ages, indie music festival Vibez in the Vines, locked in for the October long weekend at Cassegrain Winery.

With its own unique charm and character, the single-day festival line-up is an eclectic mix of creative and adventurous music featuring both national and up-and-coming talent.
The festival will be headlined by legendary 80s pop-rockers, GANGgajang, whose singles include Gimme Some Lovin', Giver of Life and House of Cards, all which quickly climbed the charts to become part of the music revolution re-inventing the Australian sound and its place in telling our story.
To The North, Ambulance Men and the perennial Sounds Of Then (This Is Australia) all echoed this new ethos in Australian music and defined our sense of place.
GANGgajang is now regarded as one of the all-time classic Australian albums, while Sounds Of Then has reached near mythical status and continues to connect with new generations of Australian music fans to this day.
Rounding out the line-up are The Lyrical, Karl S. Williams, Salt and Steel, James Bennett, Slippery Gypsees, The War Room, Jackson James, Ruby Blunt and the Doongang Dancers.
"This is a feel-good festival - a celebration of being able to dance again and to once again feel free, even for just one day," festival founder, Lisa Willows said. "We need to reactivate the festival experience and get people out and about again."
Vibez in the Vines will feature a great selection of food stalls, markets and workshops that will play a prominent role in the festival.
"We are excited to host women's circles, weaving workshops and Aboriginal mandala dot painting as well as feature some of Port Macquarie's best primary producers.
"We are aiming to engage and inspire local and national communities. We have local business Hasting Co-op excited to showcase many of our region's local primary producers in Co-op hampers, which are made up of fruit, cheeses, bread and cold meats. We have so much going on.
"We hope Vibez in the Vines becomes a much-loved family friendly event that draws people from near and far for it is unique programming and beautiful setting. It will remain grassroots in nature and will honour First Nations people in every way," Ms Willows said.
