Wauchope halfback Tristan Scott was the man at the centre of a frantic final three minutes as the Blues and Port Macquarie played out an entertaining 28-all draw on May 8.

Scott crossed next to the posts to level the scores in the 77th minute before his 25-metre field goal attempt with 30 seconds remaining missed to the left.
In the end it was a fitting result after the Sharks had scored two tries in three minutes to turn a 22-16 deficit into a 28-22 lead after 69 minutes.
Both clubs honoured Blues president Ged Roods in fitting fashion where neither side got out to more than a 10-point lead at any stage.
The sight of Wauchope captain-coach Mat Bird looking skyward after Scott levelled the scores was arguably the most symbolic image to come from an emotional day.
"I was looking for the big fella up there and I'm sure he was watching down on us and seeing what he could come up with," Bird said.
"I bet he would have liked to see us get the win a bit more, but least we came away with one point."

Bird admitted he would encourage his halfback to spend a bit more time after training practicing his field goals.
"Unfortunately we didn't come away with the field goal at the end, but that's what it comes down to when we're playing against Port," he said.
"We might have to get into him and get him to do a bit more practice with the one-pointers."
In a similar start to last week, the Blues were slow of the blocks and trailed 16-10 at the break.
"We've got to get better at that, it's one part of our game we need to improve on because against these better sides we just can't come back from that," Bird said.
While also disappointed not to register a victory, Sharks coach Dave Geary would have been impressed with the way his youthful side stuck to their task.
He admitted they would learn from the closing stages where their inexperience told and they lost their way.
"I knew that we could grind it out, but those penalties in the end killed us. We'll learn from that. We'll be better."

"We're fit so that's going to go a long way and we're only going to get fitter so I thought our guys were massive.
"Matt Jones in the middle was taking two hit-ups every set of six, Kurt Moloney was good first game back for the year and Dylan Clark ... Dylan Adams ... we had a lot of standouts.
"We would have loved the win, but at the same time I thought our boys played really well and it was a good spectacle so I hope the crowd liked it."
