In total 113 teams from under-8s up to seniors play every week as part of an eight-plus hour feast of action.
In previous years, HVNA publicity officer Linda Dewbery said players would have to return on a Monday evening if they wanted to play in the open divisions.
That is now no longer the case.
"Our really good 16 and 17-year-old's are now playing with our mum's so it's a good transition from juniors to seniors," she said.
"It used to be up to under-18s on a Saturday and if you wanted to play after that you'd play Monday night."
But Dewbery said the most satisfying aspect of having every division playing on the one day was being able to witness the support from families.
"I really love to see the little girls playing their under-10s game, but they come back later in the afternoon to watch their mum play," she said.
"It's really great to see the support from the parents to their girls, but the smile on the kids' face when their mum plays later in the afternoon .. that's what it's about."
The competition's first round was washed out due to the March floods which will force the season back a week.
"Rather than cancel that round we just moved our season so our grand finals will now be one week later at the end of the year," Dewbery said.
Players and spectators, however, must remain COVIDsafe.
"We can have more than one spectator per player," Dewbery said.
"We can have two now and everyone is still quite compliant because if we're not compliant we don't play and the parents are just as keen to get their girls on the court as we are."
