Marine Area Command officers responded to a request for assistance at 1:30 pm on Sunday (March 21) at the Hatch, about 15 km north of Port Macquarie.
The dogs, a man in his 50's and his mother were safely evacuated by officers with assistance from the NSW State Emergency Services.
