NORTH Coast under 16s bowed out of the Andrew Johns Cup rugby league competition when beaten 22-0 by Illawarra South Coast in a semi-final played in aquatic conditions at Blacktown.

The previous week North Coast frittered away a 16-4 lead with 11 minutes remaining to lose 18-16 to the same side. There were further complications for the Bulldogs after the game as a number of North Coast players along with coach Brendan Pellegrino were then unable to get home because of the floods.
"They put them up in a motel in Forster,'' Group Three chairman Wayne Bridge said.
North Coast women will play the semi-final against Newcastle this weekend at a venue to be determined in the Newcastle area. The game was to be played at Raymond Terrace last Sunday but was postponed because of flooding.
North Coast, coached by Scott Mieni, qualified for the semi-finals with hard fought wins over Central Coast Roosters and South Coast Illawarra in the preliminary matches.
