Evacuees were brought back to a home on Port Macquarie's canals where volunteers waited with cups of tea and barbecues.
The help doesn't stop there.
The volunteer team gave out out more than 2000 litres of fuel, masses of essential food items and delivered medical supplies.
They reached stranded residents using borrowed oyster punts, and when the roads were on higher ground, walked the remainder of the way, even pushing wheelbarrows laden with supplies.
Isolated residents were helped at locations including the North Shore, Maria River, Blackmans Point, The Hatch, Telegraph Point and Fernbank Creek.
Larger houses were established as drop-off points for supplies.
They have now handed over to community groups and moved on to providing feed for livestock in flood-affected areas.
The team from family business Rampage Marine and Fabrication has coordinated the effort with help from friends and local business people.
Cass Martin from Rampage Marine and Fabrication said the community support had been inspiring.
Support has come from businesses and individuals.
"Every contribution, no matter what the scale, is significant," she said.
The team borrowed oyster punts from Australia's Oyster Coast, and in addition, David Tunstead from Tunstead Oysters put a boat in the water to work alongside them.
The focus is now on providing cattle feed with $10,000 raised for hay in just one day.
The team boated out more than 300 bales of hay on Tuesday (March 23) with another 450 ready to go the next day.
