A 150 kilometre ride is set to break down barriers and start conversations about mental health, while raising money at the same time.
Participants will gather at the Short Street car park on Sunday (March 21) in preparation for the Black Dog Ride which starts at 10.15am.
Riders will make their way down the coast through Laurieton, then to Kew and Beechwood before arriving at the Hibbard Sports Club.
Businesses and organisations have donated almost $4500 worth of prizes to be raffled during the day.
The ride is boosting awareness about depression and suicide prevention, while raising funds for mental health services.
Ride coordinator Josh Salter is expecting between 100 and 150 people to participate in the ride.
"It's about getting the word out so people start to talk and speak out [about mental health]," he said.
"It is about getting people to understand it's OK to talk.
"People are out there to help and listen."
Participants can register on the Black Dog Ride website until Friday (March 19) or they can register on the day.
A barbecue breakfast and coffee will be available before the ride begins.
Members of the public can take a look at the bikes at the Short Street car park ahead of the ride.
Community members also show their support during the event.
"A lot of people stand on the side of the road and cheer us on as we ride past," Mr Salter said.
Riders are expected to travel from as far as Coffs Harbour and Taree.
