Here we go again PMHC councillors voting to waste $60,000 plus of our ratepayer funds on a survey against fluoride in our water supply, despite advice from our local member Leslie Williams, the Minister for Local Government Shelly Hancock, local dentists, the Dental Association and NSW Health supporting the use of fluoride in our water supply.

I spoke to our mayor Peta Pinson and she stated that she was the deciding vote in favor for the survey and that ratepayers are entitled to be heard.
I am a Peta Pinson fan and will be supporting her again at the upcoming elections later this year, but on this occasion I think the benefits far out way the ramifications of no fluoride in our water supply.
As a child I was given fluoride tablets by my mother and at age 63 I have healthy teeth and only last week at Sundial Dentist Port Macquarie I had my teeth cleaned and my fluoride treatment.
My sister a few years older did not have fluoride and has dentures top and bottom.
The answer is quite simple if you don't like the smell or taste in the water, filter it. There are plenty of filtration systems available or purchase bottle water.
Don't waste ratepayers funds on a survey that I believe would be soundly defeated.
