The three day competition will see teams from across the state converge on Port Macquarie for the annual round robin clash with the local Makos side offering up teams across most divisions this year.
The U16s boys proved early they were hot contenders showing their on-field skills in the opening rounds.

Port Macquarie-Hastings mayor Peta Pinson welcome more than 210 teams to the region.
"We are proud to be hosting the Junior Touch State Cup this year more than ever," Cr Pinson said.
"It is a great testament to how the community has continued to stay safe during the past 12 months to keep our region COVID free
"We thank NSW Touch Association for their immense efforts at changing the event structure this year to ensure it is run according to COVID safe protocols.
"The best of luck to all participating teams, and we invite all visiting families to get out and explore our beautiful region during their stay."
Over the three days, more than 650 games will be run and won. A contingent of nearly 250 referees is on hand to officiate.
