The "Piano to dream" performance at Wauchope Community Arts Hall will feature Kendall-based musician and composer Fiona Joy Hawkins.
The Valentine's Day afternoon show is sure to be a treat for romantics and music-lovers alike.
Inspired by Mendelssohn, Chopin, Ludovico Einaudi and Michael Nyman, Fiona Joy is a prolific composer and regularly tours China and the USA.
She is also a member of the contemporary instrumental group FLOW, along with Lawrence Blatt, Jeff Oster and Will Ackerman (Windham Hill Records), who also produced a number of her award-winning albums.
Wauchope Arts Program director Krissa Wilkinson is not surprised to hear that Fiona Joy has been playing music for online meditation sessions.
"The first time I heard her play, I was transported to a beautiful, quiet space," she said.
"Her minimalist style is a tonic and after the year we have had, many of us are ready to swoon."
Fiona Joy has used the time she would otherwise have spent touring to explore and work in the "music as meditation" space.
On February 14, audience members will be invited to relax and leave the world behind.
"It will be musical storytelling at its best, with Fiona Joy taking us all on an ethereal musical journey," Krissa said.
"Our beautiful Kawaii piano will be tuned for the first time since the pandemic and we are looking forward to being bathed in sound."
Tickets, which cost $25, are available at the trybooking website.
Tickets won't be available at the door.
Doors open at 2.45pm, with music from 3pm, then a short interval and more music.
