More than $50,000 was raised over the weekend to help teenager Jake Spurdle with medical expenses and associated costs to help him fight Osteosarcoma.
It is a type of bone cancer that begins in the cells that form bones.
In total, 640 tickets were sold across the three events and Play4Jake organiser Bron Watson was thrilled at how much NRL club South Sydney had supported the weekend.
A further $20,000 could be raised after an online raffle is run and won.
"Adam Reynolds captain came up on Saturday and spent the day with Jake and Nyky at their house and he brought his little boy with him," Mrs Watson said.
"It was a win for everyone; the Rabbitohs legends were lovely fellows and so supportive of the weekend.
"They were absolute gentlemen."
The two-day extravaganza exceeded all expectations.
"It was a celebration of all the scientists, the South Sydney Rabbitohs and our local community," she said.
"Jake was incredible with his strength and endurance.
"He played wheelchair rugby for two hours straight after being up all night the night before at the dinner; the human spirit in that kid is amazing ... he just keeps going."
Mother Nyky Napier-Reynolds said it was the best two days of her life.
"Port Macquarie and the whole community stood up and supported Nyky, Jake and EnGeneIC," Mrs Watson said.
EnGeneIC is an Australian company who use a treatment known as nanotechnology - a treatment which targets cancer cells only.
"The guys from EnGeneIC said they were in awe of the community spirit that they just didn't know where to start."
