The accomplished Paralympic swimmer,19, made her career debut at the age of 13 as the youngest Australian swimmer selected to compete at the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow.
Miss Kane was born with developmental disorder Hypochondraplasia and has excelled in the swimming pool with gold medals from Paralympic Games, Pan Pacific Para Swimming Championships and World Para Athletics Championships.
The Australian Dolphins Swim Team member will join mayor Pinson in attending the official Australia Day ceremony at the Glasshouse and events on Thursday, January 26.
There will be a range of COVID-safe activities on the day including a ceremony to welcome the town's newest Australian citizens and the announcement of the 2021 Port Macquarie-Hastings Australian of the Year Awards.
Due to COVID public health safety orders, there will be no official ceremony at Wauchope or Laurieton this year.
