The Bonny Hills artist and Newman College year 12 graduate started the clothing range in early 2018 and has had success launching his own brand of designs.

The 18-year-old, who will be attending a creative arts traineeship at MacKillop College, said he initially began the label as a hobby while working at a print shop.

"I was interested in a clothing line before hand, but working at a print shop showed me that it was actually possible," he said.

"I love fashion, clothes and design but the idea of putting my artwork onto clothing as wearable art was the biggest motivation I could have.

"I suddenly had the freedom of seeing people wearing my artwork and doing my own designs exactly as I wanted them."

Caelan said he started with an abstract and surreal art style, inspired by the surf and skate lifestyle of living in Bonny Hills.

"I do mainly drawings but it changes a lot over the years. I also take advice from what other people want and adapt to what sells well," he said.

"I live on the beach and it's what I know. It would be silly not to use it for inspiration considering surfing and skating is on my doorstep.

"It really started to take off when I began doing hoodies with bold designs, but I've also done a few runs of board shorts, shirts and bags. I've looked into wet suits and beach towels, but I think I'll leave that up to bigger companies for now.

"It's a hobby at the moment but I'd love to see the day where I could solely rely on it."

The teenager said he has so far sold more than 40 hoodie style jumpers and around 60 t-shirts, alongside various shorts, hats and tote bags.
