Lakeside Bargains was targeted when thieves smashed through the glass front door to the store.
An early morning walker spotted the shattered door and notified the police who attended and assessed the scene.
Camden Haven and Lake Cathie residents have raised a spike in vandalism and theft-related crime over the past weeks on social media platforms.
This incident follows break-ins at a Laurieton restaurant, chemist and liquor store all within the last week.
They come with a police warning heading into the holiday season for residents to increase their home security and keep and work together with neighbours to ensure property and motor vehicles are not the target of thieves.
"We have had an increase in break and enters in the Camden Haven and Laurieton areas and we are appealing for public assistance," Inspector Stuart Campbell said.
"Anyone who has seen people lurking around or acting suspiciously near a business premises at night or in the early hours of the morning should contact the police."
Anyone with information about these incidents are asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
