A Christmas donation rather than a Christmas gift for your loved ones and friends will help fund support for local animals in need. It also makes gift buying easy, especially for a favourite aunt, an animal-loving friend or family members who have everything.
Giving the gift of animal care to those you love this Christmas will make a big difference for animals in the Port Macquarie-Hastings region and will make your loved ones feel good.
The RSPCA Port Macquarie Volunteer Branch raises funds for programs that help local pet owners, including emergency vet assistance, and subsidised desex and microchipping programs.
The branch also provides funding to the Port Macquarie RSPCA NSW Shelter for ongoing costs, supplies, equipment and maintenance.
Like all charities, the RSPCA Port Macquarie Volunteer Branch has struggled to raise funds for animal welfare since coronavirus restrictions were introduced earlier this year.
Events organised for RSPCA Cupcake Day and Million Paws Walk had to be restricted and the Bunnings sausage sizzles were cancelled. These had a big impact on fundraising.
Christmas donation cards, which acknowledge your donation on behalf of your loved ones, are available for a minimum donation of $10 to the RSPCA Port Macquarie Volunteer Branch.
You can make your donation and receive a card acknowledging your gift at the RSPCA Op Shop at 15 Short Street, Port Macquarie or online through the RSPCA Port Macquarie Volunteer Branch Facebook page.
