Some 26 people attended the morning tea under the trees at Roto House on Tuesday (December 1).
The morning tea marked Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement which taps into the power of people and organisations to transform their communities and the world.
Round & Round Cafe also supported the morning tea fundraiser.
Tender Funerals Mid North Coast chairperson Denis Juelicher said the morning tea was a good opportunity to round off the 2020 fundraising with a celebration of achievements and final fundraiser of the year.
"We hope the community can support our crowdfunding campaign on the last day [December 1]," she said.
The crowdfunding campaign, which is the centrepiece of the fundraising push, has raised $30,000.
The fundraising is a step towards introducing the community-led funeral service in the area.
Tender Funerals has a focus on affordability, community involvement, compassionate support and healthy bereavement.
The Lost Plot Community Garden hosted a giant garage sale on Saturday (November 28) to contribute to the fundraising.
The event, which attracted about 300 people, raised more than $3000.
Ms Juelicher said community members donated an incredible amount of goods to the garage sale.
The garage sale raised money to help establish the not-for-profit funeral service in the Hastings, as well as boosting awareness for the community garden.
All remaining goods at the end of the event were donated to Lifeline.
Tender Funerals Mid North Coast is in the process of purchasing a property in Wauchope and establishing a home for the social enterprise.
A development application for the building will be lodged in January.
