A Port Macquarie man charged with a range of driving and drug-related matters has appeared in the Port Macquarie Local Court.

Dylan Newbury, 28, of Granite Street, pleaded guilty to seven charges before magistrate Georgina Darcy on November 26, 2020.
Newbury pleaded guilty to stealing from a person - a Samsung mobile phone on September 8, 2019; two counts of goods suspected of being stolen on premises on August 17, 2020, driving while disqualified on October 18, 2020; driving recklessly or dangerously on Ocean Drive on October 18, 2019; possessing a prohibited weapon at Wauchope on July 15, 2020; and possession of a prohibited .66 grams of cocaine, on July 15, 2020.
Two more serious charges of robbery and assault with intent to rob were withdrawn.
Magistrate Darcy convicted Newbury on all charges.
Newbury was sentenced to four months in jail which ended on November 14, 2002 and was ordered to serve a community corrections order for 12 months commencing on November 26, 2020.
He was also disqualified from driving for six months and nine months, to be served concurrently from November 26.
No penalty was imposed on the possession of a prohibited drug charge.
