The Mid North Coast Community College celebrated the official opening of its Port Macquarie community education precinct to mark Social Inclusion Week.
The milestone on Wednesday (November 25) included speeches, performances by the Absolutely Everybody Choir, a plaque unveiling and a tour of the facilities.
A strategic plan has been brought to life through the development of the dedicated community education precinct in Port Macquarie.
The Albert Circuit facility offers children's play, OOSHC vacation care, a community shed and arts centre, a special assistance school and youth program along with adult education courses, Absolutely Everybody Choir and opportunities to meet new friends while learning new skills.
Mid North Coast Community College CEO Valerieanne Byrnes said community education was about meeting the needs of people through creative delivery of programs, offering a community of care and harnessing as much help as needed to overcome participation barriers.

She said making a positive contribution to society was a goal worth striving for and should not be the domain of only some.
The precinct is to serve as the centre for all, Ms Byrnes said.
"We are powered primarily by state and federal funding, and thank all for their support, but our heart is powered by the achievements of our students, the unbelievable commitment of a small team of educators and support staff and the generosity of volunteers and sponsors," she said.
Cowper MP Pat Conaghan said he was incredibly impressed with what the community education precinct provided.
The official opening coincided with Social Inclusion Week.
The week aims to help all Australians feel included and valued, giving everyone the opportunity to participate fully in society.
