There will be mixed emotions at Suncorp Stadium tonight when Harry Grant makes his Queensland State of Origin debut.

The 22-year-old has had a breakout year in the National Rugby League and while Port Macquarie's Scott Grant is undoubtedly proud of his cousin, he won't be cheering on the Maroons from the grandstand.
"You always knew he had something when we were mucking around in the backyard," the Port Macquarie Sharks junior said.
"All he needed was a crack and once he had that crack he's taken it with both hands and run with with it."
Grant was a member of the Port Sharks first grade side that claimed the 2015 Group 3 rugby league premiership.
He said the family were always confident his younger cousin would make it to the top level.
"Everyone's pretty proud he's playing in Origin, it's just a shame it's in the wrong coloured jersey," he said.
Grant will be sitting in amongst a sea of maroon along with his parents and partner Layla when the two teams run out just after 8pm (AEDT) on November 18.
"We'll support him, but we'll be barracking for the Blues," he said.
