GROUP Three Rugby League clubs will look at ways to incorporate a women's tackle competition into the season-proper next year.
However, group chief executive Mal Drury assured there is no threat to women's league tag.
However, Mr Drury said playing a six week competition at the end of the traditional league season 'isn't really ideal.'
The Hastings League runs a women's league competition and Mr Drury said Group Three could look at working with them to further promote the game.
"There could also be an opportunity to play games on Friday nights,'' he said.
Mr Drury added using Group Three's free weekends in June and July for gala days could also be an option.
