The new Sharks crew entered the six week competition in September and have played their two games against Macleay Valley and Coffs Harbour.
"We're struggling a bit at the moment because many of our girls haven't played rugby league, but we are improving every week," Ms Todd said.
"We're looking for more girls to play because we have a few out with injuries and things like that. We're trying to play our best and we're improving each week, there's nothing more we could ask for."
Port Macquarie Sharks will play Port City at Lank Bain Sporting Complex this Saturday, November 7 from 4.30pm.
Wauchope will play Macleay Valley from 5.45pm.
Coffs/Bellingen will play Kendall from 2pm, while Lower Macleay will face off against Wingham from 3.15pm.
"We played Macleay Valley last week and they really helped us out. We improved a lot from the week before even though it wasn't the outcome we wanted in the end," Ms Todd said.
"We are playing Port City this week, they have an established side and it's likely to be a tough game.
"(Since entering the competition) just the fact that we've got more girls interested in the sport and have more girls playing is a good outcome. That makes it easier for more competitions to be held in the Hastings."
