A complicated dessert task set by pastry chef Darren Purchese was Ben's undoing after he was unable to succeed in an ice cream-tasting challenge.
Ben mistook apple ice cream for bubblegum flavour leaving him competing against Filo, Ruby and Georgia.
Darren Purchese unveiled his dessert and lit a fairy floss cover alight to reveal a perfect, edible snow globe.
Ben's red glaze was perfect, and he was highlighted as the best job at recreating the look of Darren's dish.
But he failed to adequately mix his cake batter, which affected its texture when baked, and resulted in him being sent home.
Ben proved to be a fan favourite in this year's Junior Masterchef series after his bao buns dish inspired by a family holiday in Albury captured people's hearts.
He applied after his grandmother - a food-tech teacher - suggested he should.
Ben's desire to learn new things also inspired his effort to get on Junior Masterchef.
"I really wanted to meet new people, of course have a lot of fun, test my cooking ability, and just have a new experience," Ben said.
