The brigade were attending a grassfire at Lorne on October 10 when the vital fire equipment was taken.
Firefighter and president of the brigade, Steve Begg said the theft of more than $1000 in equipment was hugely disappointing in the lead up to the fire season.
"We were using the equipment to extract water from a creek and firefighters traveled to the other end of the fire, when they came back the pump and hoses were gone," he said.
"A number of other hoses were also scattered around. These hoses are not light, they are heavy duty reinforced with metal so that they don't collapse when they are used in a creek or dam.
"Not having these hoses hurts the fire fighting ability of that truck. It renders that vehicle not useless, but we have to be careful with it because it can't extract water from anywhere.
"The truck is four months old, it's a new truck and this is extremely disappointing. We are coming up to fire season, now is not a good time to be losing this equipment and having a truck half operational. We cannot believe someone would do this."
Mr Begg said the brigade has filled a police report regarding the incident and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
